Hi, My name is Milton Muro Jr and I am running for Arizona’s 3rd congressional district. I am newcomer to politics and have decided to join this race because the concerns of the youth and the working class, in my opinion have not been taking serious by the two people leading this race ( Yassamin Ansari & Raquel Teran ). As a lifelong Arizonan and as a member of the working class who like 30% of Arizonans who make less than $50,000 a year, is struggling to make ends meet with inflation, is rent burdened like half of Americans and is facing the reality of never owning a home. I know what it is like to apply for food stamps and other types of assistance for the first time in my adult life due to the horrible ecomonic circumstances. I am fighting for people like me while Standard politicans have to defend the face of the democratic party and current President Joe Biden’s abysmal record and approval rating, Trying to Sell us on a reality that does not exist for the overwhelming majority of Americans. I will fight for fundemental change that neither candidate in this race has spoken up about sufficently that will address the inflation caused due to corporate greed and both renting and housing sky-high costs due to the financialization/commoditization of housing leading us into Rentier capitalism and Neo-feudalism. We need people from the working class to fight for the working class, no one has stepped up and someone has to do it, our voices are yearning to be heard and its not gonna be heard from a system that is an accomplice to late stage capitalism. I am the only Person in this race who is a Socialist, i am under no illusion that a system that created this will liberate us, Until we the people, who make up the population of Arizona stand up and come together to own the buildings own the grocery stores create a public bank and seize the public utilities will we be liberated from the wage slavery we are currently living under. Lastly and the most important given the sheer immorality, i find it pathetic neither of the two candidates in this race has said a word about the current war on Palestine, and our politicians from president to senators and congressman here in Arizona also, funding and denying the current ethnic cleansing going on under the lie of ‘Security’ for Israel. Over 28,000 have been killed by israel and not one ounce of criticism within their party even when the local Arizona Democratic party has called for a ceasefire, This cowardness is not fighting for what is right whatever the reason. There is a better world to fight for and i am here for the challenge.
