Immigration

  • As someone who is a Mexican American and has family and friends who are undocumented, and some are in a state of purgatory, we must fight for the liberation of the undocumented and recognize that these people are part of our community, and their existence in our society makes this country a better place. Justice for all means justice for all, and no piece of paper changes that.
  • Create a sanctuary State for Undocumented People
  • Give them a driver’s license.
  • pass a domestic workers bill of rights
  • Fight for better job protections and help the farm workers who face sexual and physical abuse as well as unfair pay and poor housing.
  • Help create unions of undocumented people to further decrease the likelihood of deportation.
  • Amnesty for the Undocumented
  • Abolish ICE and homeland security.
  • Stop the funding of the new border wall and end the immigration surveillance industrial complex.
  • Fight for the full legal equality of the undocumented.
  • Do what I can with my power as a representative to bring back undocumented people who were wrongly sent back or were told to go back to their lawyer.
  • Accountability for the U.S. role in exacerbating the migrant crisis
  • abolishing immigration detention.
  • Help to create employee- and consumer-owned cooperatives in the agriculture sector so that the workers own the means of production.
